Our Standard, MP, Stainless Steel, and Hidden Roller barn door product lines have tracks available in a variety of lengths between 4 and 8 feet. See our catalogs for specific lengths. Our off-the-shelf sizes are meant to match with commonly available door widths. If you need a track longer than 8 feet, you can combine two or more shorter tracks with our track connecting plates.
When installing tracks for biparting pairs of doors, instead of one long track, you can mount two shorter tracks end-to-end. You do not need a track connecting plate because neither door crosses the center of the finished opening.
You can also place a custom order for long tracks up to 16 feet. However, long tracks cost much more to ship and can be difficult to transport in anything but a commercial delivery truck. So, it is usually more cost-effective and convenient to combine shorter tracks to get longer runs.
Our factory can also make tracks in custom lengths under 8 feet. Order a track that is the next size longer than what you really need and request a custom cut to the correct length. We will shorten the track for you and make sure the holes for the lag bolts are in the correct locations.
In our catalogs and brochures, we list the nominal lengths of our Standard, MP, Stainless Steel, and Hidden Roller sliding barn door tracks as a matter of convenience. We actually make the tracks 1/2″ shorter.
For example, if you order a nominal 6′0″ track, you will get a 5′111/2″ track. When you mount a standard 3′0″ door on that track, just a little bit (1/2″) of the width of the door will always stay positioned above the door T-guide or U-guide for proper operation. This allows you to use the most common door widths available. If we made the track longer, a standard-width door could slip off the guide, so you would have to get a door custom made in an odd size.
If you combine two shorter tracks to make a longer run, then the total length will be 1″ shorter than the total nominal length. This will work just fine, too, because 1″ of the door width will always be above the door guide.

All Stainless Steel Series hardware sets are made from solid stainless steel with a #4 brushed finish. No color options are available.
Our Standard Series, Shutter Series, and Barnfold® Series hardware sets and track are available in raw steel or any of 16 powder coat colors: Matte Black Texture, Bronze Texture, Black, Silver Metallic, Arch Bronze, Rustic Brown, Jacob’s Gold, PC Chrome, Regal Red, Rocket White, Blue Ribbon, Flint Gray Texture, Dark Gray Texture, White Bronze Texture, Siver Vein, and Copper Vein.
Our MP Series and Hidden Roller Series sets and track are available in Black, Silver Metallic, and Arch Bronze.

PLEASE NOTE:
- Due to variations in printers and display screens, all color representations above are approximate. Color sample cards are available. See your Goldberg Brothers retail dealer.
- Raw steel does not have a protective coating. Rusting will occur.
- PC Chrome is a powder coat finish with a glossy, chrome-like appearance. It is not chrome plating.
- Steel components used with Matte Black Texture and Bronze Texture may have minor surface blemishes acquired during the manufacturing process. These superficial variations will be hidden by the powder coating and do not affect product performance.
No. We make the steel hardware for mounting barn doors, but we do not make the doors. You can purchase barn doors from most of the retail dealers that sell our hardware. You can also make your own doors with our Barn Door Edge Wrap kits.
If you are experienced with construction, remodeling, or major home repairs, you should be able to install our products yourself. You need to make sure that the wall above your doorway is prepared to handle the weight of the hardware and door. Installation requires accurate measurements for proper fit and function. The work involves using power tools and standing on a ladder. You will probably need an assistant if you have a heavy door.
If you have any doubts about your skills or if you do not know how to follow our installation instructions, we recommend that you get a professional installer to do the work for you. Keep in mind that our warranty does not cover any damage or personal injuries resulting from improper installation.
MP stands for Multi-family Projects. MP Series is our product line originally designed for apartment buildings, hotels or office buildings where an architect or contractor wants to install dozens of identical sliding barn doors at a lower cost that our Standard Series products. However, you can buy MP Series products for just one or two doors, as well.
Besides the visual design, MP Series products differ from our Standard Series in three main ways:
- MP Series roller hangers are factory-equipped with DuPont™ Delrin® silent rollers.
- The tracks are made with 11/2″ wide steel for use with lighter-weight doors.
- MP Series kits, tracks, and most accessories are available in three colors: black, silver metallic, and architectural bronze.
CP stands for Consumer Pack. CP Series is a curated subset of our MP Series product line. CP Series components are bundled together with a track and packaged for retail sale in a single box. The combination of accessories in a CP Series bundle is customized for each retail dealer. So, the package contents and prices may vary from store to store.
Probably not. Window shutters mounted on our Shutter Series hardware should only be used indoors and for decorative purposes. Consider them an alternative to curtains or blinds. Our Bahama Awnings may be a better option for some weather protection if secured in the fully closed position, but they are not hurricane rated.
Some homeowners do use our barn door hardware for outdoor installations. Keep in mind, though, that our powder-coated steel barn door hardware and shutter hardware will eventually rust if used where it will be exposed to rain, running water, or high humidity. Outdoor installation voids the warranty and may shorten the product’s service life. We recommend our Stainless Steel series hardware for outdoor use.
Our Stainless Steel Series products can be used outdoors, but they are a bit fancy for use on a real barn. We are working on a new product line that will be more appropriate.

If you are unable to find a local dealer that can help you, please contact ArchitecturalDepot.com. They carry most of our products and they may be able to ship some items to international customers.
Keep in mind that international shipping charges and related fees could get quite expensive for long tracks and heavy items. So, ask about the shipping costs before placing an order.
No. Goldberg Brothers, Inc. does not have a showroom or retail store for selling barn door hardware products at our factory. Please purchase from a retail dealer near you.
Not yet. Currently, tours of our factory are by invitation only. Eventually, we may offer factory tours for the general public and small groups. We will make an announcement when we are ready to conduct tours.
